Friday's Letters

Dear Birthday Apple, This is what happens when you have lots of food allergies. And you know what? I don't mind one bit. Hand over the apples! Dear Halloween, I don't like you. One bit, really. But I'm glad my mom decorates in the cute Halloween way, and not that creepy way. Dear Fall Break, There is nothing like waking up early to get a run in and then being able to take a long shower and put on sweats again instead of getting ready for school. I love it! Dear Parking Job, My dad has raised me to believe the only place to park is when there is only one car on your side. And I feel guilty every time I can't find that spot at school.

Here is some weekend inspiration...have a great one!

Friday's Letters

I interrupt the usual Friday's Letters you address a much more important occasion...

Happy Birthday, Sister!

I sure am grateful for your example, friendship and contagious happiness that you start each day with. You're a rockstar in the business world, when it comes to pushing yourself while running, and even in the kitchen making some yummy smelling new healthy recipe. Thanks for teaching me to laugh, listen, talk and grow. Hope this next year is better than ever!

A Special Day

Today’s my mom’s birthday! She is spending the day serving other people – which is pretty fitting since that is what she does. She is always helping others and forgetting herself.

She’s the greatest mom I could ask for, not to mention best friend, laughing partner, running inspiration and much more. I hope today is the best day ever, and the year to come is full of happiness, success and fun. Love you mom – more than you will ever know!

I am so grateful for your friendship, your example, and your sincere kindness that is never failing. You have taught me what it is like to see the good in everyone, love the life you have been given, and be a pretty dang awesome mom to one super cute baby J. I hope you know my life is better because of having you as a sister.

It’s Your Birthday

Guess what.

My dad was almost a new years baby. Just a little slow I guess. But we are still glad he is here.

The Perfect Example

Howdy, folks! You know how we were talking on Monday about changing things up, trying something new, going out of our comfort zones? Well…I have a perfect example for you. My MOM. And guess what…today is her BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BRITHDAY MOM!

DSC02155

She picked up running about 4 years ago and enjoyed running 5ks and 10ks and just doing it for exercise. Then 2 years ago she decided to do a half marathon! She rocked it! She did something that was challenging and new, and it was a great experience!

DSC00381 (2)
don’t be fooled…I only ran the last 2 miles with her. she didn’t even need me

DSC01472 (2)
I’ve never met someone that takes such good pictures while running the last mile of a race. Seriously.

Hey, mom. Thanks for being my biggest support and best friend. Some day, I hope I’m half the person you are! Happy, happy birthday!
